Description: The Gryparion Cultural Center - housed in a building perfect for multi-style events and activities -
combines aesthetic space with 'state of the art' sound and light technology.

The main events hall (ground floor) has a 200 (seated) capacity, plus a balcony allowing an extra 100 persons.

A  second smaller events hall (upper floor), has an 80 persons capacity.

The Gryparion Cultural Center is suitable for:

lectures, seminars, conventions, recitals, concerts, projections, theatrical performances, etc.
 

  

The building comprises:

Location: approximately 2km from Mykonos Town, on main road, direction Ano Mera Village.

Normal GCC hire is 5 hours per day during the entire activity/event period (longer daily hours negotiable).

Rates for the main Gripareio Cultural Center areas are:400 Euro per day:  Monday to Friday.500 Euro per day: Saturday, Sunday and public holidays.

Estimated additional hall hire costs per hour: Electricity: 25-30 Euro per hour
Cleaning: 8 Euro p.h.
Sound-lights: (estimation not available)
Engineers/Electricians: 8 Euro p.h.
Employees (general duties): 8 Euro p.h.
Public relations staff: 8 Euro p.h.
 Ground and upper floor foyers are also suitable as exhibition areas.
Hire of foyer is maximum one week. Cost: 60 Euro per day.

Sunday June 3rd: "Cinema: Paradise".

Musical show featuring celebrated Greek songwriters (Manos Chadjidakis, Mikis Theodoakis), and international music. Artists include piano soloists and singers, Yannis and Takis Finas, and soprano, Marietta Deloti.
Presented by Themis Rodamitis.

Wednesday June 6th: Audiovisual show by Later Life.

Featuring themes from well-known film soundtracks. Artists include Tina Psalida (violin), Rallou Georgoussopoulou (oboe), Stavros Parginos (cello), Costas Kakouris (piano).

Saturday June 16th:
Trio (violin, cello and piano), artistic direction of Demetris Ghouzios, chief cellist in the Athens Symphony Orchestra.

April 24th: "Mikri Rebetes": music concert in memory of famous Rebetika musician, Markos Vamvakaris.
March 24th: Full house for this successful children's theatre production of Oscar Wilde's "The Selfish Giant".
March 11th: Concert in honor of famous Greek composer and songwriter, Mimis Plessas, arranged and sung by the Mykonos Choir.
February 12th: Celebration of the Mykonos Choir's 5th anniversary. A musicalretrospective, opened and commented by the center's (DEPPAM) Chairman, Paris Klonaridis
October 7th: Official inauguration in the presence of many government ministers and other dignitaries. Many thanks to Mrs Gryparis for this magnificent gift to Mykonos Island. The evening featured a program of speeches, classical and choral music: a very successful evening event befitting this new, high class institution and landmark.
