Gay friendly Greece :   lesbian friendly Lesbos island at Skala Eressos   with recommended hotels & general info.

Lesbos island 
(also called Mitilini - and the name of the capital town)

but as the name implies, this is the island where lesbians from all over the world will meet.
(Reservation for July & August are a must!) Sappho was born near Eressos which still attracts most Greek and foreign visitors, on it's long sandy beach at Skala Eressos nude sunbathing is permitted. The island has many beautiful villages and places of interest like Molivos Village, Petra etc..
(we recommend hotels such as the Sunrise, Delfinia, Olive Press , Heliotrope at Vigla Beach, Laureate & Pyrgos Mitilini.)

The Island and it's inhabitants have not always welcomed this inscursion but the situation has much improved in recent years.
Lesbian owned hotels are few but we do recommend the following, including the on-Eressos Beach hotel with the most amenities:Aeolian Village

Sappho's hotel: In 2006, the new management has renovated the 18 rooms of the hotel: singles and twins. Antiopi Hotel Pension: Women only hotel which recently underwent a complete refurbishment and was re-fitted. 10 min.from beach: 15 doubles. 3 singles, all with private bathrooms (w.c., shower) & fan. Other amenities: vegetarian restaurant, cocktail bar, Jacuzzi, riding stables, roof terrace withpanoramic view, flowering courtyard for breakfast, meeting room. to provide you with the ultimate holiday experience for women here in Skala Eressos
