Mykonos harbours:old port in Chora and new port in Tourlos

The OLD PORT is in Mykonos town...it is a 5 minute walk in the town ...
the NEW port is in an area called TOURLOS which is about 1.5 km but can be seen from town; it’s walking distance but not if you are carrying luggage.
The New Port is connected to "Chora" and the Old Port by Taxi or Bus. The main Taxi stand is situated on the waterfront in Chora on the far right when looking at the sea. The main bus station is near the windmills on the top side of Chora.
There is a new marina under construction which has not been completed yet. The old harbour of Mykonos yachts are no longer permitted to tie. The marina offers some shelter but at the present moment is still under construction. Water is not available yet but fuel is via mini tankers. Provisioning available in town. The very large new marina: built next to the old port, and closer to town will be ready for 2012.
Indeed, the new marina port is growing in popularity and is actually becoming a small charter base from which you can hire charter yachts to start your sailing holiday. Moreover, it has a flourishing craft industry and Mykonos is also the starting point from which to visit the neighboring island of Delos.
New Harbour, 2km north of Mykonos Town: at Tourlos: consist of main cruise boat quay, and quay for the largest ferries and speedboats: also with a part of harbour reserved as marina for yachts…
