How to get to Mykonos (by boat) :
Mykonos is connected with the ports of Piraeus and Rafina with daily sailings. During the high season the connections are much more frequent.

Taxi Station :             Tel. 22890 / 23700 - or 2289022400 works also as radio taxi.
The taxi stand is on Mando's Sq. but you may find them also at Fabrica (the bus station)
Rates are fixed ; you should also know that telephoning for a taxi costs 1.50 EURO extra, and an appointment
costs 5 EURO in addition to the fare.

There are 3 departure points: the one in Fabrica (in the southern section of the town) serves Ornos, Aghios Ioannis,
Platys Gialos, Psarou, Paranga and Paradise;
the other, at the Museum, in the northern part of the town, serves Ano Mera village, and the beaches of Elia and Kalafatis;
the third one, at the harbour, serves Tourlos + new harbour, and Aghios Stefanos,
Normal fares range from 1 to 1.40 EURO depending on destination and hour of the day (nocturnal fare 1.30 EURO)
Banks : There are several bank offices in Mykonos, open daily from 08am till 2.30pm (Friday's 2pm)
You will need your passport for exchanging money, also at the Exchange Bureaus.

Well, we all hope that you wont be needing them.... but just in case.....
There is a 24h emergency service with pathologist, surgeons, pediatrician, dentist, microbiologist, x-ray diagnostic, etc.
The Mykonos Hospital is open for general visit and emergencies from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 5 to 10 p.m.
For other times there is a recorded message on the hospital telephone number stating which doctor is on duty.

Opened in 2005, it operates only in summer time for sailing lessons.
Shops :
Mykonos is full of shops of every kind, from jewelry shop to clothes and accessories, gallery art, a sexy shop,
mobile phone and electronic stuff, optical shop, photo shop, ornaments and household items, etc.
Mostly of the shops in  and out of  town open around 10 a.m., some of them close around 2p.m. and open again around 6p.m. and keep their doors open until 1a.m. depending of the area (the shops in town close very late at night).
