The new Athens Airport (Athens International Airport: AIA - Elefterios Venizelos)
now fully operational since March 28 2001, for all domestic and international flights and also Olympic Airlines.
Transport service to/from the Airport takes between 1 or 2 hours;
this regular bus service costs 3 Euro/person, + also now by train.
- Athens Terminal: Syntagma Square: bus E 95: every 15 min x 24 hours.
- Piraeus Terminal: Karaiskaki Square: bus E 96: every 15 min x 24 hours.
- Piraeus Terminal: Ethniki Amina (metro station): bus E 94 every 15 min. between 06h00-23h40/6am-11.40pm.

After April 1 we require a small handling fee: all tickets are paper-less now: so you can pick up your e-tickets
from the check-in desk of Olympic Airways and Aegean Airlines.

Summer 2008: valid from mid-April till end October.
Low Season 4 to 5 planes per day to / from Athens. High Season (June 20- September 20) approx.7 to 8 planes daily to /from Athens.
Also in High Season a few flights a week to Thessaloniki.
Due to rise of petrol price: domestic flights have gone up in price as well: 
Prices: OA: Athens to Mykonos: from 80 to 120 € & Mykonos to Athens: from 75 to 115 € 
The total airport taxes are :  24,23 € for outbound international flights within the European Union and 34,23 for other countries , this includes new airport handling taxes and new security taxes.
